In memoriam: Juan Matín Velasco, diagnostician and teacher

Abstract

The article offers an intellectual portrait of who has been the reference in the Spanish language during the last fifty years of the study of the religious fact and the phenomenology of the religious and mystical experience. The main features of his life and of his work are explored through three perspectives: his contributions in the field of thought on the religious fact, his analyses on the contemporary reality before the religious fact and his testimony as a believer and master.
