Louis Massignon and Mary Kahlil: a spiritual encounter

Abstract

This paper describes the relationship between Louis Massignon, a Catholic scholar of Islam and a pioneer of Catholic-Muslim mutual understanding, and Mary Kahil, an Eastern Christian. It was a remarkable spiritual friendship which lasted many years. An example of how two very different people, could share a deep commitment to Muslims and Islam.
